James West, BEMech (Hons), 35 (at Jan 1 2008), grew up in Mackay, Queensland, then Nigeria and Thailand, before attending the Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane. James’ father has been a friend of Jeremy since attending the University of New England together in the 1960's and James was introduced to the understanding of the human condition in 1989 by Jeremy’s brother Simon at a family Christmas party. James began his engineering degree at the University of Queensland where he interested his friends John and Richard Biggs in the understanding of the human condition. In 1992, he moved to Sydney to be able to support the FHA directly and subsequently completed his degree at Sydney University. He is involved in many aspects of the FHA and works as an engineer in a design and manufacturing business.
