FHA Director

Simon Griffith

Simon Griffith, 54 (at Jan 1 2008), grew up on a sheep station near Mumbil in central-west NSW and was educated at Tudor House School in NSW and Geelong Grammar School in Victoria. Simon began a degree in architecture at the University of Newcastle but left after injuring his leg in a car accident and deciding to pursue his interest in travel and the hospitality industry. These interests culminated in Simon designing, building and running a successful youth hostel at Avalon on Sydney’s northern beaches, a business that he sold in 1995 to help fund the FHA. Simon is Jeremy’s youngest brother and has always been interested in and supportive of his study of the human condition. An FHA director, Simon has many roles in the FHA, however his main role is in developing the Human Condition Documentary Project.
